Baseball closing in on Region Title

The Dorman Baseball team continues to roll through region play with a 6-4 win over Wade Hampton Wednesday night.  Braeden Harrison started on the mound for the Cavaliers and pitched 3 strong innings with only one earned run.  Adams Faucett got the win with a stellar outing out of the bullpen, giving up no hits or runs in 4 innings.  At the plate, Byers Smith had 4 hits, scoring 2 runs.  Chas Welch also added 3 hits.  Owen Turner had a 2 run homer and Braeden Harrison also had 2 RBIs in the win.  Dorman is 13-7 overall, 7-1 in region.  The Cavaliers are 5-0 since spring break.
 
Dorman goes into the final 4 regular season games with a 2 game lead in the region standings over Spartanburg.  The Vikings and Cavaliers meet next week in a 3 game series to determine the region championship.  The first game of the series in Tuesday at Duncan Park, then Wednesday at home and then back to Duncan Park on Thursday for the finale.  First pitch is 6:30 PM each night.
