Dorman Boys and Girls Basketball clinches Region Titles

The Dorman Boys and Girls Basketball teams clinched Region 2-5A titles with a sweep of Byrnes Tuesday night. 
 
The Lady Cavaliers won 73-63 in a battle of the top two teams in the region.  Chamiah Dominick scored 24 points and Dasia Ferguson scored 23 points to the lead the Cavaliers.  Amaria Jones added 12 in the win.  Dorman is 17-4 overall and 6-1 in the region with one regular season left on Saturday vs Riverside at 6:00 PM in the Arena.
 
The Dorman Boys Basketball team beat Byrnes 66-58 to remain undefeated in region play.  Noah Clowney paced the Cavaliers with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 blocks.  Jordyn Surratt led the Cavaliers with 16 points and added 5 rebounds. Sean Lindsay, 11 points, and Jordan Miller, 10 points, also scored in double figures.  Dorman is 20-4 overall and 7-0 in the region with the regular season finale set for Saturday vs Riverside at 7:30 PM.
 
Playoffs for both teams begin next week with the Boys hosting Wednesday night at 7:00 and the girls hosting Thursday night at 7:00.  Opponents are still to be determined but both games will be in the Dorman Arena.  Come see your basketball teams start their playoff runs.
