The Dorman Volleyball team won the 5-A State Championship over River Bluff High School in a packed house at Dreher High School on Thursday night. The Cavaliers won 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17) to cap off a 33-4 season. The title is number 14 for Coach Paula Kirkland in a season where she surpassed 1,000 total career victories. Outside hitters Lauren Mims (18 kills) and Savanna Freeman (15 kills) led the way for the senior laden (9 total) region 2-5A champions.
